Dr Bozena Zoric, Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician at BZ Clinic

Dr Bozena Zoric provides private ADHD assessments for children and treatment at BZ Clinic in West Byfleet, Surrey. Before retiring as a full-time NHS consultant, she led one of the largest NHS ADHD clinics in the country for 20 years. She still works part time in the NHS in Surrey.

Training and qualifications

  • Master's degree in Science (Community Paediatrics)
  • Master's degree in Arts (Medical Humanities)
  • PhD in Medical Humanities, University of London, on ADHD
  • Senior Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health
  • GMC number 3430257

Her training in medical humanities sits alongside her clinical work, and lets her offer a truly holistic service: she looks at a child's health, development, family and school life together.

ADHD leadership and research

Dr Zoric has been invited to advise on managing ADHD in children at a national level, and is one of the authors of a national consensus statement on ADHD care. She has advised senior researchers in the Department of Education at Kingston University on grant applications for educational research in ADHD, and is an advisor to the board of ADHD Embrace, a London ADHD charity.

She is a visiting academic in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Southampton, where she plans to research young people's experience of ADHD at school.

In October 2026 she spoke on the panel at ADHD Embrace's ADHD Awareness Month evening, Parent and Community Views on ADHD, in Twickenham, alongside parents, professionals and funders.

In over 40 years as a paediatrician in the UK, she has been a strong advocate for the psychosocial side of long-term conditions. In her words, no other condition has been as intriguing and rewarding in this context as ADHD.

Her book on parents and ADHD

In 2026 Routledge published her book ADHD, Attachment Theory and Epistemic Injustice, which looks at why parents, and mothers especially, are too often blamed when a child has ADHD, and how that can delay assessment and support. Read about the book.
